The challenges we tackled
01Bilingual / RTL
Two languages fighting for the same screen.
Arabic runs right-to-left, English left-to-right, and the old site was hardcoded for English. Doing Arabic properly is not translation, it is every layout, menu, form and price mirroring perfectly inside one codebase, with no second site to maintain, no speed penalty, and no SEO split between the two. Get it slightly wrong and half the market sees a broken site.
02Enterprise B2B
The biggest orders never touch a checkout.
A contractor buying pallets of industrial batteries does not pay by card. They expect a formal quote, a supply contract and a VAT invoice, usually after a conversation. Off-the-shelf e-commerce cannot model any of that, so the real problem was capturing how Saudi enterprises actually buy without burying it in a clumsy request-a-quote form.
03Catalog & IA
120+ products where one wrong spec is costly.
Industrial buyers need an exact match, because the wrong battery is expensive and sometimes unsafe. With 120+ technical SKUs across five categories, the difficulty was never listing them. It was organising specs, datasheets and filters so a buyer reaches the single correct product in seconds, not after scrolling a wall of near-identical items.
04Migration & SEO
Replace a live, ranking site without losing the traffic.
Batteries.sa was already found by buyers and ranked for the terms that win contracts. A full rebuild put all of it at risk: broken links, lost rankings, a quiet collapse in enquiries the week after launch. The real challenge was swapping the entire platform underneath a working business, preserving every URL, redirect and search signal, so the traffic survived the move intact and then grew.
